Egun cultural dancing by ken-ade Pupils

  The Egun pupils in ken-ade private school, they dominated about 45% in the school population.  The Ogu people , sometimes called Egun people , are an ethnic group located majorly in Lagos and Ogun State in the South-Western part of Nigeria . The Ogu people have varieties of dialects including Thevi, Xwela, Seto and Toli and they also account for about 15% of the indigenous population of Lagos State .  The Ogu people were settlers in the old Dahomey presently known as Republic of Benin . Oral history has it that the Ogu people are a descendant of those who migrated from Whydah , Allada and Weme which are now part of the Republic of Benin as a result of the Dahomean War that occurred during the 18th century. According to Mesawaku, a historian; the Ogu people migrated to Badagry as early as the 15th century due to the need for security.   Samuel Ibe Leading the Igbo Pupils for their cultural dancing. Igbo Pupils are one of the tribe we have in ken-ade private school and they dominated 5% of the pupils in ken-ade private school. Igbo Culture (Igbo: Ọmenala ndị Igbo) are the customs, practices and traditions of the Igbo people of southeastern Nigeria . It consists of ancient practices as well as new concepts added into the Igbo culture either by cultural evolution or by outside influence.

The Ilajes displaying their Cultural dancing. They dominated About 40% in the school population. Ìlàje is a Local Government Area in Ondo State , South West Nigeria . Its headquarters are in the town of Igbokoda. The Ilajes are a distinct migratory coastal linguistic group of Yoruba peoples spread along the coastal belts of Ondo , Ogun , Lagos and Delta states , and originally made up of four geo-political entities namely: Ode Ugbo, Ode Mahin, Ode Etikan and Aheri. While most towns and villages in the Mahin kingdom (Ode Mahin) are distributed on arable lands, the towns and villages in the other three geopolitics of Ugbo, Aheri and Etikan kingdoms are spread out along the beaches and swampy terrains of the Atlantic Ocean coast.
